Dear ICEL2 Registrant,
RE: Pre-Conference Workshop “Research Monitoring Medical End-of-Life Practices Workshop”
A number of members of the ICEL Conference Organizing Committee are organizing a pre-conference satellite workshop entitled “Research monitoring medical end-of-life practices.”
This highly interactive workshop will focus on the priorities and strategies for research into end-of-life practices in the context of changing ethical and regulatory environments. What questions do we need answered, what kind of data do we need to address the most important ethical, practice and policy issues, and how can we best monitor end-of-life practices? The discussion will draw on the expertise of some of the most experienced researchers in end-of-life research worldwide. The workshop presents the perfect meeting and networking opportunity for those of you looking to start or expand their activities in this rapidly growing domain.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 13 September from 1.30-4.00 PM, just a few hours before and in the vicinity of the opening plenary of the main conference.
The program is attached with this e-mail. All information can also be found on the conference website: http://icel2halifax.ca/ under workshops.
The organizers also invite you to submit any questions you would like to see addressed at the workshop.
Registration is free but participants must register by September 7, 2017 at 5:00 pm. To register please send your name along any questions you have by e-mail to kenneth.chambaere[at]vub.be.
Workshop is limited to a maximum number of 40 participants.
